Home Inspection

A crash course in maintaining your new home

We approach home inspections differently. We believe a home inspection should be an education in how to maintain your new investment.

Radon Testing

Radon, a naturally-occurring gas, is odorless, colorless, and tasteless. Radon testing is the only way to know if your home has unsafe levels of Radon gas.

Sewer Scope

Checking out the pipes

Not all home inspections require a sewer scope. For example, it is not necessary when purchasing a condominium. However, if your new home is connected to the city sewer system or has a septic system it could be very important.

Thermal Imaging

Many of your home’s systems are behind walls – electrical, heating. This makes it difficult to inspect those systems without damaging the walls. No we can’t see through walls. However, we can use thermal imaging to read heat temperatures. Allowing us to identify possible defects not visible to the naked eye.

Environmental Testing

Test to be sure

Much like Radon gas, some environmental hazards can’t be detected without testing. There is no smell, or alert. Horizon Home Inspections works with great partners to help identify and test for these environmental hazards.
