Is a sewer scope really necessary on a new home?
With the push for builders to build houses as quickly as possible, it is only human to make mistakes. Protecting your investment is the best option and the cost of a sewer scope will significantly offset the cost of repairs should a defect be identified. Should I have a radon test performed on a home without a basement?
Our experience is, Radon gas is not selective and is very prevalent in Colorado. Basements an hold or capture radon gas at a level higher than a home with a crawlspace or slab on grade home. This being said, high levels of radon gas has been detected in homes with basements, crawlspaces, slab on grade and inadequately ventilated homes. Safety first! Test and don't guess.
Is lead based paint testing important?
We approach lead based paint the same way we approach chipped paint in general. Lead based paint needs to be addressed and repaired the same as any other chipped paint. Sealing and repairing chipped paint is important to prevent children and pets from ingesting paint chips. We have several qualified companies to test your home to ensure you have a plan of action!
