Chad’s Story

Chad’s personal experience with a poorly executed inspection in 2000 served as the catalyst for the creation of Horizon Home Inspections. Disappointed by a report that was not only illegible but also contained errors from another property, Chad knew there had to be a better way. Determined to provide homeowners with a reliable and informative inspection service, Chad embarked on a journey of learning and growth, ultimately leading to the establishment of Horizon Home Inspections.

Chad loves to provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service. And he has had lots of practice, with over thirty years in customer service, supply chain management, and corporate-level customer management. Chad has been inspecting homes in Colorado since 2001 and started Horizon Home Inspections in 2003.

Matt, hailing from Tucson, Arizona, sought refuge from the heat in Denver. With a background in advertising, working with renowned brands such as Toyota, Polaris, and Victory Motorcycles, Matt made a pivotal career shift and joined Horizon. His passion for hands-on work and knack for simplifying complex concepts made him a natural fit for home inspection. Fun Fact: During a home inspection, Matt encountered a sweet puppy named Brownie, who became the (un)official mascot of Horizon Home Inspections, bringing joy to all she encounters.

Chris Madigan

Home Inspector

Chris Madigan is a seasoned Home Inspector and InterNACHI Certified professional with a keen attention to detail and a passion for customer service. With a background in remodeling houses, as well as 15 years of experience at Discount Tire, starting as a tire technician moving his way up to Sr. Assistant Manager. Chris combines practical experience with a commitment to providing exceptional service to his clients. His dedication to thorough inspections and personalized customer care sets him apart as a trusted professional in the home inspection industry.

Travis Miller

Travis Miller

Radon Technician

Travis is a certified radon technician. since 2015. He has a passion for aviation and served in the US Navy as a safety systems specialist on the P-8 Poseidon. He was stationed in Jacksonville, Florida, with deployments to Japan. Achieving the rank of E-5 before his honorable discharge in 2022, Travis returned to Colorado with a determination to merge his expertise in radon testing with his family’s business. Completing the requisite courses accredited by the NRPP, Travis solidified his status as a certified Radon Technician while concurrently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity at CU Denver, utilizing his G.I. Bill benefits. Beyond his professional pursuits, Travis finds solace in attending EDM concerts, particularly at Red Rocks, where his love for music intersects with his Rocky Mountain upbringing. Embracing the diversity of Denver, Travis values the opportunity to cultivate enduring connections with clientele. Committed to sharing his expertise and ensuring peace of mind, Travis aims to collaborate toward creating safer, healthier environments for clients and their loved ones.
